Rules of competition
It's really simple. We are looking for the best photos taken during the Bollington Walking Festival. Additionally, we are looking for fantastic photos to use next year in our promotional material, such as our website, social media and leaflets.
The competition is judged by the public through a 'like' system. The photo with the most 'likes' wins. In the case of a tie, the Walking Festival team will make the final decision.
The winner of the best photograph will win a fantastic £50 voucher for the Jo Royle Outdoor Shop in Buxton. There will also be two runner-up awards. We also plan to use many of the photos submitted in our publicity material.
The photos need to be of the local area (Bollington and surrounding area). It would be great to have some with people in enjoying the joys of walking. Please note that if you are considering submitting a photo to go on the front cover of the leaflet, it would need to be in portrait format, so if you want your name in lights, that's the way to go!
There are no age restrictions. Photos can be uploaded in a variety of formats and high resolution is a must. By submitting a photo you are giving us permission to use it for publicity purposes. All photos reproduced will acknowledge the person who took it.
Closing date for photo submissions is 31st October 2019. Voting opens 1st November 2019 and will close on 31st November 2019.
The results will be published on our website and social media pages after the closing date.
